Small-Batch Setting Compound
Mixing a knife-sized dab of quick-set mud without racing a whole pan against the clock.
When a hole lands between studs, repair clips slide over the cut edges of the existing drywall and give the patch something solid to screw into — no fishing backing boards through the hole.
fix a hole in sheetrock, doorknob hole in the wall, punched a hole in the wall, hollow wall patch kit, patch won't stay in place
A drywall hole that lands between studs leaves you holding a patch with nowhere to fasten it — push it into the opening and it falls straight through into the wall cavity. The traditional fix is fishing scrap backing boards through the hole and screwing through the face to hold them, which works but is awkward in a small opening.
Drywall repair clips are made for exactly this.
