Square a Layout
Getting a corner to a true 90 degrees at building scale — the 3-4-5 triangle, equal-diagonal swings, and other full-size checks.
Technique: String-to-Stake Tie-Off
A layout string that slips at the stake goes slack, and a slack line lies. Most quick ties either creep under tension or end the day as a jammed knot you cut off.
The tensioned line now pins the wraps against the stake, so the harder the string pulls, the harder it locks. To release, lift the standing part back over and the wraps fall away — nothing to pick apart.
The motion is faster to watch than to read; the reel shows it in real time.
