Repeat Cuts Without Re-Measuring
Cutting a stack of pieces to one length from a single measurement — a scribed line at the saw, or an end-hook template that guides the blade.
Technique: Low-Angle Bevel Cuts
A circular saw's base only tilts so far — 45 degrees is the limit on almost every saw. That covers most bevels, but it leaves out the long, shallow slopes: a gentle ramp on the end of a board, a low wedge, anything steeper than the blade can lean. Tip the saw as far as it goes and you still come up short, with no way to push the angle further.
The workaround is to split the cut in two so neither pass needs an angle the saw can't make. Instead of one steep tilt, you cut the complementary angle to create a fresh reference face, then square off that face.
