Paint the Wall Onto the Trim First, Then Tape and Paint Back Over It
For straight transition lines: run the wall color slightly onto the trim or ceiling, tape on the wall side after one coat, paint the trim into the tape, and pull — the line lands crisp even on textured walls. Never tape over two coats; it pulls.
