A roller cover survives repeated use if you scrape the excess, wash it in hot soapy water, and dry it standing on end — and mid-project you can skip washing entirely by wrapping it and putting it in the fridge.
Shave the bulk of a dried drip off with a razor, sand it flush through progressively finer grits, then rebuild the finish in three brushed coats — each one blended wider than the last so the repair disappears.
