End Shoe Molding With a Glued Miter Return, Not a Back Cut
Where shoe molding terminates, skip the angled back cut. Miter the run at 45°, cut a matching sliver from the offcut, and glue it on with CA glue so the profile wraps cleanly back to the wall.
