PEX Bend Support as a Spout Guide
A cheap PEX elbow sleeve that holds a flexible pour spout in a smooth curve so it can't kink mid-pour.
The screw cap on oil and coolant bottles carries a moulded tab that snaps off and slits the foil seal cleanly — no knife near the neck, no thumb pushed through, no foil scraps left floating in the fluid.
motor oil foil seal, antifreeze bottle seal, open a new oil bottle cleanly, remove foil without a mess
Under the screw cap of a bottle of engine oil, coolant, or gear fluid there's a foil seal bonded to the neck. Pushing a thumb through it splits it unevenly, leaves a flap hanging into the pour path, and coats your thumb in whatever's inside. Cutting it with a utility knife means running a blade around a neck you're steadying with your other hand, and it drops slivers of foil into the fluid — which then go into the engine.
The cap is the tool. Most oil and coolant bottles have a moulded tab on the cap for exactly this.
