The Problem
Pushing cable through conduit works until it doesn't — a bend, a coupling lip, or the cable's own set stops the tip, and pushing harder only buckles the cable behind it. On a short demo piece it's an annoyance; on a long run it's the whole job.
The Technique
- Feed the cable in until it stalls.
- Keep light forward pressure and spin the cable — rotate it between your hands as you push.
- The rotation walks the tip around whatever it's caught on and screws it through the bend; the cable advances with the spin where it wouldn't with a shove.
