Open the Lint Trap Housing to Clear the Lint Your Dryer Screen Misses
If the lint screen won't seat all the way or clothes snag at the slot, unscrew the lint trap housing and pull it — years of packed lint build up in the chute below the screen, and clearing it fixes the screen, protects the clothes, and removes a fire hazard.
