Primer, Sealer, or Undercoat: Pick the Right Prep Coat
All three are prep coats, but they do different jobs: primer grips bare surfaces, sealer closes off porous ones and separates incompatible paints, and undercoat fills minor flaws and evens out color before the topcoat.
