Blow Out Cracks Before the Open Surface
Clearing paver joints and cracks with a leaf blower before the open surface, so cleared debris has nowhere left to blow back into.
Technique: Leaf-Blower Backdraft
Debris piled against a wall, a doorway, or a garage door is the worst spot for a leaf blower. Aim straight at the pile and the air has nowhere to go: it blasts leaves and grit into the door gaps, under the garage door's bottom seal, into brick cracks — and back into your face. Even a garage with new rubber gaskets around the door ends up with a layer of dirt inside after a straight-on blowing session.
Use the wall itself to move the debris.
Nothing goes into the cracks, nothing comes back at your face, and the debris ends up in open ground where the blower can do its normal work.
